Looking to get some tips on getting an RX1 to hook up. More concerned with hook up than anything else. Oh, its got a bender Stage II. Help! Has anyone used a mountain performance skip or other they have succes with?

Mine has a Polaris Edge skid in it,studded up the middle and it hooks up great, A lot better then a stock RX1.

I already had a 1.25 camo 9818 track with 144 studs just down the center and hook up was better than stock. The real difference came after I added an Expert X. Hook up is now night and day when compared to previous setup.

It's a bit more costly, but going to a 136" non-studded, ripsaw greatly improved my hook-up among other things.

Re: Expert X ???
Expert X is an aftermarket skid by AD Bovin. M10s are another aftermarket skid that is getting great reviews. There is an interesting comparsion on the Totallyamaha website. From what I researched, M10s are more of a plush ride but the Expert offers better transfer. As for the Expert X, I believe Matt (aka BlueByYou) is offering them at a decent price. Check the Speedshop section for more details. Great guy to deal with and very helpful!
