I've read some older post on this setup. It seems very interesting. I would want to stud it up the middle with 1.175's. Will they clear everything? Tracks USA doesn't list a 15x128x1 Hacksaw. Cat does. Anybody know of a Cat dealer that sells below the $550 list I've seen on the Cat site, or a source for the 15x128x1 hack? I'm also considering my 121 Predator 9837 with 144 1.175's up the middle. I'm just thinking the ripper can't be studded tall enough to clear, also may reduce top speed?

Well i never had the hacksaw on the 121 skid, but last year when mine was still an attak,i had had it with the ripsaw ripping apart, plus i have never liked the 1.25 height lugs on anything, but the ripsaw is just not durable enough for my driving style, plus i like the way you can stud a 1" track,my choice is the 9837h144 from tracks usa, price around $380.00 plus shipping, but you can do better from some guys on here that are sponsors for this site,i got one from cb performance for a friend for 340 bucks shipped to Maine. As far as studding the ripper track,i just dont understand why you could not stud with 1.175 studs, and the same for the 9837,now i did change my ripsaw 136 to the hacksaw 136 when my sled was the attak, and i even studded it on the outside as well, and it just did not hook up as well as the ripsaw i was replacing it with, but on the other side of things now that we have it on the shorty it hooks up awsome, even hooks up as well as my stock ripsaw on my 07 rtx apex,so if it was me i would get the 9837 and studd it up the middle with 144 1.175 studs on this 6 pitch track you wont loose much hook up at all,and gain in so many other places.

I put a 128x14 hacksaw on mine with 1.340 Roetins which is nearly as long as a 1.450 woody's. No clearance issues! I did add .25" to the tunnel protectors because of the big studs, but I have had no hitting at all. Great set up. I would definately to it again. My sled is forsale and I will do the same thing on my next one.

1000 Stroker, how did you space out the protecktors? Add a fullelength 1/4 inch piece of flat stock on the trak side rivetd on seems like the easiest way to me. I've only looked under there once. Got any pics of whatyou did?

i bought a set of slides that were 3/8 thick on the bottom(pic below). then cut off the tabs. just drilled holes to line up with holes in the stock protecters. rivited them in. had just enough left over to do the front protecters.
