Goodwin Performance Cluch kit

Has anyone installed one on there apex I am having an issue with the secondary spring being to tight and I cannot get the belt on. The spring is set to where the directions say at 0 and 2. Can someone help me?

When We bought My wifes Apex it had a Goodwin clutch on it and it was the same way, hard to change the belt so I put the stock set up back on.
