anticipation can be a real b*tch ...but in the end...it seems like she was worth the wait...
Im seeing enough Yamaha influence to initially satisfy my discriminating eye...
mods planned (initially):
4 wheel oversized rear axle kit
mid blacked windshield of some sort (with blue and with yam tuning fork sticker)
slp mohawk skis with triple points
powermadd sentinel handguards (black, thanks guys) with led light inserts,
led's tied into accessory circuit so when key cycled on they come on with front and rear leds!
heated riser bag with heated shield port.
stainless steel exhaust
racewerx transfer block
powder coated or rubber dipped racewerx seat screw
special traction product (secret) with heat exchanger protectors
air intake
black skid plate

I don't think I would install the racewerx one. It is aluminum and over in the Viper section someone posted that when they went to remove it it had stripped and they had to use pliers to get it out.theres one in there from the factory...so I say yes...the bracket holds the seat on but who knows what a big bump would do...
Any M6 thread bolt/thumb screw will work. (license plate bolts are M6)
I'm going with these that I had on my Viper. Worked great and are cheap. The down side, it can take a few weeks to get them from china. The tuning fork is not painted on it's engraved in the aluminum

Remove the washers & nut. Remove the ss bolt. Put some red loctite on it. Screw it back into the aluminum head. Add a rubber washer. Screw it into the seat bracket.

Just an fyi I rode the last 2 seasons without the bolt in the rear of the seat on my xf9000. No problems. Seat never moved. Congrats on picking up the new sled!theres one in there from the factory...so I say yes...the bracket holds the seat on but who knows what a big bump would do...

I've seen other posts on another form of guys losing their seats without the screw on big bumps...I guess it's all in how hard you hit it...but I'd rather not risk it...

If the seat comes off it wasn't latched. I tried to pull mine off with out the screw, the seat bent on half, but still would not come off.

Does the SW only have 1 trip meter? For those of us who do multi-day rides, a dual trip meter like the Apex has was a nice thing. You could keep track of the daily miles and the total trip miles easily.
I'm guessing it has more than one, otherwise there would be no need for the display to say 'trip 1' - it would just say 'trip'...

Can't argue one bit with that logic, sir. Missed that in the pic probably because I'm looking at it on a phone. Had to zoom in a bit further.
Thanks!
Thanks!
