GT Owners..How do you like the GYT-R's on the front??

I was wondering how the guys with GT's liked their GYT-R shocks on the front. I was thinking about trying those this year instead of spending the extra $100/piece for the Ohlins. They have to be better than the stock ones that came on the '05 and a little bit better might be enough.

Wait!!! Oak Hill said that this was the best riding sled since......I forgot!! You don't need different shocks...it's all in your head!!!

I put he shock's on my 05 vector man they are awesome.I didn't realize the stock shock's suck until I put the gyt's on and I didn't really get to mess with them yet.

They also offer reboud adjustment and the Ohlins only have compression adjustment. I've been thinking about them too.

Does the Vector GT use the same front shock as the Apex GT?

I might be making the sled into a moutain sled and order a new trail sled for next year or order a new moutain sled.I'm not shure yet I wiull see what comes out.

So you've already replaced the factory shocks on your '05 with GYT's? What's the difference between the GYT on the Apex GT and the Vector GT? I imagine the springs are different, but it would seem like the shocks would be the same unless the valving is different.

The part numbers are 1 digit off but they come with springs from Yamaha. 8GG-2367A-00-00 Vector GT, 8GD-2367a-00-00 Apex GT.

I was told by the dealer that the gyt's I bought are the same as the vector gyt's but are different than the apex.Not shure why.
