Put a heavier duty spring on my brothers 06 Apex GT and after the install we adjusted the rider sag to 43 mm. He weighs about 300 lbs. with his gear on and when we dialed in the 43mm we were still within the springs specs. He said he never received his owners manual so we couldn't figure out what the black dial on the bottom of the shock was for? I think the dial had 20 or22 clicks so we just set it to 11. Any help on a place to start out with on the clicks for a 300lb guy? 0-22

i"m not sure which way it goes but the dial on the GT shock is to adjust rebound, and the EC adjuster on the bars is for compression. I might have them backasswards but at least you get the idea. Hopefully someone can verify this.

Yes the EC is for compression and the black dial areound the shaft is for rebound. If my memory serv's you have 30 click's of rebound, 30 click's out frome light seat is the least amount of rebound resistance (suspension return's the quickest).
