I'm trying to install a used Excell exhaust and for the life of me, I cannot get the excell pipe back on to the sled where it connects under by the track. I recked the originals and new gaskets that I bought, thinking it would make it easier. Definelty not a one man job. I've been at it for three hours and I'm mangeling the end of the pipe from pounding it trying to get the two pipes to couple. What a F*&*^% pain in the A***. Never would I have though it would have been this hard. The problem is the Y-pipe from Excell does not line up perfectly with the y-pipe on the sled, it's off, by just a hair, so you have to pull on the pipe that is on the sled and then try to slide the Excell on. My gaskets are pooched again. What do I do now? Any thoughts.

I'm not sure how they do it when new but trying to install new gaskets is a pain, they are too fat :o| When I installed a Bender can on my Warrior the pipes would not go together either. I ended up coaxing the originals out of the stock pipes and re-using.

Use a little lube on those gaskets.... i think we also installed mine without the muffler hangin on the end of the pipe, smaller piece to work with.... we didnt have much of a problem at all....

good luck.... wait till u hear it, it will all be worth it.....

I ruined my new Gaskets, because they are too fat. Then I took the old ones out and they did not really get damaged, but from trying to put the pipe on, they are getting really damaged. I need to get a buddie over and try some more. I have not even put the end piece on yet. This is a F*** pain. I don't see why it needs to be hard. The mesh on the gaskets is what is giving me such a hard time, plus the pipes don't line up perfect. RRRRRrrrrrrrr

Ok not sure exactly how they all line up, or what is the exact problem.

But can you run the pipe into town and get it opened up a millimeter? Just enough to get you on and then it will crimp back down?

Have a buddy give you a hand. I had help when I installed mine. A little 'fine tuning' is needed to get things lined up properly. Having a buddy there to hold things to keep them from getting scratched helps a lot! I reused the original gaskets when I installed mine. Good luck. It is a bit of a pain but it's worth it in the end! When your getting to that boiling point of frustration stop, step back, open beer, take deep breath, finish opened beer, resume install!!! Good luck!

I just talked to Arron and he said it's because it was used and the clamps have tighten up the pipe. He said it needs to be re-opened up a bit and then it should slide right on. So, I have to see if I can get it flared a little bit. I'll try again tonight.

I Got it in...... What a pain...., I might have to drop the rear skid again, because I'm not sure I raised the clamps high enough. I will have to run it and see. Thanks..
