2600 way too harsh miles.I freaked after i bought this sled and looked on this site.I was sure i bought the worst pos in the world.Ive wiped a-arms and a bulkhead off this poor thing to no fault of yamaha. Its not nearly as sturdy as some of the old school sleds but it has held up admirably compared to some of the other newer sleds in my clan. The gas mileage easily pays for some serious upgrades if i choose.I finally destroyed the rear suspension.I dropped off the Jefferson dam wall two nights ago.Pretty ridiculous hit.Im sure that got the party started.Took another 70 miles to let go.In a cornfield going like 20.WTF?God bless! This woulda ruined my day at speed!I'd also like to add that there is 2100 miles on this hyfax with no low snow wheels.Yes they are junk, but they stayed almost at this point for 1500 of those miles and my rails havn't shattered.Yet.

not really sure the point of this? just to say your phazer broke after driving the sh!t out of it and its a pos?

I must say that the Phazer is by far the best holding up sled i've owned and with 5000 miles on mine i have the right to say this. There were problems with the 2007's as is with FIRST year models in all sleds. so i dont feel this snowmobile deserves POS reputation

I must add that i have NEVER had a broken part on my sled NEVER!!!!!!!!!!

Its called sarcasm you nellys! This sled has partied! You may end up buying peices of this sled. The motor is going in an experimental aircraft someday(dream).Heres my update to the unupdated held next to an updated one(made sense in my head).I can only do this on the top.The bottom will have to be almost as light as the updated one to stay out of the wheels.Used parts are becoming very available for these.Apparently im not as adept at destruction as a boatload of others!Don't worry. My parts will be available in the near future.I didn't buy this for the next guy!

FYI Nobody is gonna look at your topic with the negative label you put on it.
you did

yes except pos,proving the opposite(reread)

agreed 90 percent(i am a worst case scenario)not a pos(reread)

Please remind me to never buy anything used from you.
I don't sell.I buy.Your safe!

WOW...I guess
Joiner!

You guys are missing the point.I kicked this things #*$&@.I ride it like a race sled.It has held up admirably for a trail sled.It is not race sled beefed-yet it made it 2600 miles. Why so defensive? Are you playing off the last post,or did you actually read what was written.Perhaps i will put on my kid gloves for you guys;-)

Your right! My bad. Not parting.Thats a 07 skid i just picked up.It will donate a rail, cross shafts and two wheels to my hammered o8 skid.I will weld the 07 swing arm thingy up hopefully better than the new updated one in the picture.Sorry if i came across as negative. Most people thing im an a-hole when they meet me.It usually takes 15 to 20 minutes to prove them right!;-0

weapon x if i had a pic of my skid it looked just like that,

i am surprised how long my is really holding up, she has her flaws but yamaha made them and i find them, but i have put way better a/c's and polariss to rest already with less mileage, so i am happy so far with durability,

More sarcasm there I guess?
So, how high was the drop off that dam you mentioned earlier?? I suppose it didn't cause damage other than to the Phazer did it? Like a concussion maybe?? It is difficult to read sarcasm in writing isn't it?

Umm if you realy rode the thinking as hard as you say that are doesn't last 200 miles.... Just saying...

I brace mine and add 2-3 pounds of braces and the best I have gotten is 500 miles in race conditions.

BTW I will have a slightly used Phazer 1200 miles for sale at the end of the year :)

Or you can learn to ride smoothly.

Rough trail riding and the condition of these courses are very different What breaks them is the constant pounding of big sharp hits for mile and miles with no breaks that cause the additional stress to the metal. Driving hard and then stopping for a while allows the metal to cool and not stress as much. Thats why we are breaking them faster in acing. At least thats what the Chassis Engineer from Yamahs Suspects when we sent them the failed parts and the reports
