I got the cold hand warmers on my 06 apex gt, which is the best fitting hand gaurds out there to block the wind to keep my hands warm?

If you want the warmest option I would go with either the New Yamaha ones, you may have to bend the mount with the stock 06' bars. Or get the Rox/Power Madd. with the Apex Mount. Regardless you'll need the Power Madd Gaunlets, this will help the most, the main reason for the hand gaurds is mild temps and to hold the gaunlets up. They will work eith the Yamaha gaurds and since they just came out with the hnd gaurd add on thing (look in the acessories online) they may be the better option.
If you search the Hot hands, you'll find many posts about rewiring your stock system to give you HOT hands. Do a search read up (about 15 pages) and decide from there.

I just ordered a set of the large Nytro hand guards and mirrors that go on the hand guard frame like bike mirrors. I was told they make it a little warmer, I mainly wanted decent mirrors on my 06 APEX

No matter how much I tightened the straps, the Skinz guards would flip up on high speed runs. I am looking at other options

The only way I got result with wind protection and warmer hand grips. Was to go to the largest windshield Yamaha makes. I know Its not pretty but it works. Also it help with wind on your chest and head. After ridding in -30F with 30mph head wind you will try anything.

Yamaha has put "nytro" hand guards on this year's Apex RTX. Should be able to get the mount and guard and have the same setup.

Powdercoat them? haha
That is a good question. Does anyone know who actually makes those hand guards? Is it Cyra?
