Who runs handgaurds on 06 RTX's with stock shark bite windshields?

I got a set of Powermadd's for Christmas and bolted them on quickly in the garage at the cottage before we rode this weekend. They look cool but they hit the windshield when you turn sharply. I don't want to put on risers or cut the windshield. I left the sled up north again this week. I'm looking for a quick fix for this weekend untill I can get the sled home and have a look.

Tools are at a minimum up there, but I was thinking maybe if I move the bars forward I might not hit. I don't know.

Not a whole lot of options for you if everthing is stock. Most likely going to need a riser to get you above the windy. You could try rolling the bars back or forth but it's not likely to help.

I moved the bars back slightly and bent the bracket on the hand guard up slightly after they were bolted on. They look great and clear the windshield completely. As a an additional bonus I like the bars better in that position as well.

Bend them. I bent them with a crescent wrench to where I wanted them, then tested with no gloves on our drag strip in 5 degree temps (before any real snow a month ago or so) and got a compromise between airflow and windshield hit. Although I have a tall windshield, and they will hit, but two screws and they are off (just leave on the aluminum supports, take off the plastic)
Pic is with my son on wearing one of our 'old' brand loyal Doo jackets..LOL. Last time I wore my Doo jacket riding a Yam, I rolled my RX1. I've got a generic Choko now..so no sleds get hard feelings;)!

Here's the high windshield. Ps, mirrors are history...I don't let any grass grow under a sled when we ride, and last week on a rough (for those Xp doos..lol) fast ride, they are making the panels pop out.
