Has anyone cross referenced the OEM oil filter to different

I was just wondering what ther brands people have used and also what other types of oil other than yamalube do you use. Is it best to just stick with the stock yamaha parts and oil. Thanks

I'm running Amsoil in my sled and my GF's skidoo 4 stroke and so far no problems, as far as the filter i just run the oem one

I run Yamalube and K&N filter. K&N filter has that nice nut welded to the oil filter for easy on/off.

Unless your going to run the Roest skid plate stick to OEM due to the limited dimensions allowed by factory belly pan. In other words if you run an aftermarket filter and bump somthing right on the sweet spot, you run the chance of cooking your motor. Do a search on here!

I also used the K&N filter, same size as oem. Off the top of my head I think it's kn-147 for a part number.

They are made by Wix, so you know they are not a pos filter
