I am looking at getting heavier springs for my Nytro RTX. The dealer says they do not make any heavier then the stock ones? He told me some guys were buying Apex rtx springs and cutting them to fit, but isn't sure if it will work. I weigh 235 without gear, but I also have a tour buddy on the back that adds about 30 lbs +/-, and I also have a set of saddle bags on the back with another 20+ lbs in it. So I am trying to find that sweet spot for the mogules and bumpy trails, where I won't bottom out at each bridge. I have my springs set at medium right now. Thinking I will try and adjust it again on this weekends trip. Would prefer to have fat boy springs set at low or medium then maxing out the stock ones. Thanks for the help guys

Your 2010 Nytro RTX has the following springs:

66 Spring, Rear 1 (K=1400Nmm/Deg) 8GL-47473-20-00
67 Spring, Rear 2 (K=1400Nmm/Deg) 8GL-47474-20-00

These are available for the 2008 Nytro RTX's. They also show up as options for the 2012 RTX:

Stock
65 Spring, Rear 1 (K=1900Nmm/Deg) 8GL-47473-00-00
66 Spring, Rear 2 (K=1900Nmm/Deg) 8GL-47474-00-00

Optional
65 Spring, Rear 1 (K=2100Nmm/Deg) AP 8GL-47473-10-00
66 Spring, Rear 2 (K=2100Nmm/Deg) AP 8GL-47474-10-00

The higher the K number, the stiffer the spring.

yah, might be easier to find used ones and some of the bigger gents swapped them out of their 2008's.

i'm your weight and run the 1900, the 2100 was to much.
