It was supposed to have came off a 700SRX, it has a 38 degree helix ( marked on the side with red marker) but with no spring. I would like to put it on my Apex ER, can anyone suggest a spring to use and what hole to use ( it has five holes for spring location on the movable hub) Thanx for the help!

This is a pretty good roller secondary that you can put on,but the original angle of apex is 51/43 with pink spring load at 70.most tuner on this site have found best performance with stock helix number or close.roller secondary does change angle # compare to stock but 38 is pretty low.

Maybe consider invest in a new dual angle helix or go with silver spring 70 degree and up,but not softer than this because you may have belt slip.

Hope it help ;)!

cam

you would be better calling randy at super torquer he has a different theory
then most, my nephew has one he likes it.

The straight 38 will shift closer than you think to the factory 51/43. It is a roller so it will upshift a lot harder than a non roller 38. The design of that clutch also will act similar to a progressive helix. The 38 or 42 with randies yellow is a nice combo.

first off....the stock 51/43 is more like a 48/42....the hcx 38 straight on the upshift will act like a 44....and the backshift mid 30's!

this would be more like a mountain cam....but the backshifting will be outstanding...but you would sacrifice on the upshift...

a preferred cam would be a 42 straight or a 42/38 or a 42/34

I might have some extras of some of these in my parts bin ?

forget the s.t. yellow ...use the attak white spring....

also...three thick s.t. washers on each side of the clutch is proper alignment
