Ok guys I am going to explain this the best I can. I was doing a track and driver swap on my nytro. I had some help from a guy that has done a few track swaps and knows his way around a sled. I followed TTabs instructions on how to measure and press the avids on. Everything was going pretty well and we made it past the reverse linkage bump with little problems. Thinking we were in the clear and on the home stretch. Not So! We got it all back together and went to adjust the track and noticed that the drivers were riding on the right side of the track windows. We looked deeper and found the track was rubing on a bolt up front near the suspension mounting point on the left side and the track rides nice in the rear for all the clearances but up front looks out of wack. You can't get your pinky between the track and tunnel up front on the clutch side but you can get your entire thumb in between on the other side. The clearances in between the rear mounting brackets and track are nice and equal. It is really noticable when the sled is on its side and you look through the windows and in the back you see the hyfax fills up the space but up front you see they get off track. What the heck is going on???? We adjusted the track several times and it did move but never solved the issues. It is like I need to take the track at the front of the sled and yank it towards the chain case side only in the front. The way I sit right now the track hits clutch side, drivers hit windows on chain c. side which you would think would want to pull the track away from hitting, and the rails look like they are pointing towards the chaincase side. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY AND ALL IDEAS SOON.

Thank you

first thing...give Robby a call (avid drivers owner) he will walk you through what needs to be done...

Robbie is always more than willing to help out...Here is his number...

Thanks mtdream, I plan on trying him and hope he can help.

i agree with usa. sounds like you need to move the driver/s

did you loosen the set screw on the bearing that is on the belt side or did you just take the plate off and leaving the bearing in the original location?
either way you should tightened the bolt in the chain case prior to assembly the secondary side.

I did loosen the set screws on the carrier but when it was put together the chaincase bolt was tightened first so i would think it would be in the right place. Do you guys think moving the drivers is going to correct my other issues? That is a big concern, right now my new track is going to get eaten up on one side and my new hyfax will most likely wear on the out side on the oppisite side.

your drivers are in the wrong place...just call Robbie with measurements, and he should be able to guide you through...

He will want Driver distance from insidetunnel to driver edge on both sides, then driver distance apart...and if you have it Driver distance from center of axle...
