I finally got my skid back in and everything adjusted. I ran the track in the air with no issues, when I blip the throttle hard I get a loud snaping noise from the center of the sled, I thought at first it was mabe my under tunnel but I put some tape on the lowest spot and no issues there. I trimed my rail end before I installed the skid because of the Avids, I do not see any marks on the end caps but that is my guess on the noise. I can get up to speed with no issues but any hard blips it makes the noise. I may remove the railt tips to see if the noise goes away and then trim them more before re-install. How much needs to be trimmied off?

Maybe. Could your drivers be catching the edge of a window or two? Can you see any scuff marks on the teeth?

When you blip the throttle the slack in the track is catching on the last extrovert tooth between the windows. This was a problem on my XCR 800 until i had the extrovert teeth taken down a little on the lathe. If this post makes any sense to you...lol

You're suggesting the track is hanging up on the teeth as it coming off the driver?

Talked to Robbie, and he made some sence in my head. Even thought I checked the chaincase tension, (i have always been told "finger tight") it was the chain skippin a tooth. Put 3/16 more on the tension and wow either I forgot the brute force of this pig or the track and clutching made a huge difference. I can barley hang on. Thanks for the input guys.

Hey while were on this subject.

I just put on Avids, 1.75" back country and geared down a tooth.

My first ride out I notice some vibration in my feet that was't there before. There are no odd noises or slapping or anything of that sort. Waiting for the snow to melt off to see if there are any marks or anything on the tunnel but the avids are still clean with no signs of rubbing or anything off them. Any idea what my issue might be...

Havent rode my yet after I installed my avid drivers and backcountry. Hope I don't have a issue but if you find something let me know.

You mean just the track itself on the ground? Now that you mention it, it wasn't all the time, just on the more beat down, lower snow areas.
