I don't have mirrors on my sled, but I am guessing that they would mount onto the Rage about the same as they do on the Venture. You might want to swing by a dealer and see if they have a Venture that you can take a look at and see how it is done from the factory.
I know that didn't get you much closer to actually mounting them, but it might be a good start.
And welcome to the site...........always good to see more newbies.

Take your windshield cowl the part that fits over the headlights off and cut out the template and tape it on the cowl. Drill the holes in it. The metal bracket fits in behind it and the windshield. It is not that hard once you get started. If you have any questions get back with me, i did 2 of them.
most of the wholes are predrilled in the rage, except the windshield and the thong shaped cowl.
remove L&R side inner fairing panels 1 screw each
use #3 phillips to remove 3 flat head screws securing headlight fairing...inside shroud.
remove 3 plastic scews holding windsheilkd to upper dash panel
remove upper dash panel held in by 2 6mm pan hd. screws on top and 2 self tappers in the rear, on inside of shroud
dissconnect speedo and remove upper dash assy.
bracket installs on top side ofshroud directly behind headlight...holes should be there.
I layed the windshield in place and sharpie marked it from the back side....same thing withe the headlight face plate (thong)

Just a heads up on the mirror mount template. Verify the dimensions on the supplied template. My template was about 10% too small. Had to copy it and enlarge it until the dimensions were correct. If I hadn't checked it first, the holes would have been off.

Thanks for all the replies. Did your mirror kit come with template and instructions...mine didn't.

Get the kind of (paddle) wood bit that has points on the outer edges of the bit. It will cut through cleaner than one without the points.
