Hi all,

I don't seem to have control of the temp of my handle bar warmers.

I tested the blue switches by switching the hand warmer with the thumb warmer. When I did this the hand warmer controlled the thumbs but the thumb didn't control the hand. Therefore the switches are OK.

So I switched them back. Again the hand warmers are not adjustable. If I sit there with the sled idling, all of a sudden the hand warmer icon shows up on the gauge as off, then it shows up as full, then it switches back to standard gauge picture. (I am not adjusting it when it does this)

So to recap, switch is OK, but I can't control the temp of the hand warmers. They do work though because they are warm to the touch.

Cheers,
Chris

This is porbably not the answer but when I bought my 04 warrior this spring the battery was bad and caused the guages to do what you are describing. They would switch back and forth and go crazy every so often. Are your grips doing what the gauges say they are doing? If the grips are getting hot when the gauge goes up and cooling off when the gauge goes down then it is something else. My battery would not take a full charge, had enough to turn the motor over but barely. Put in a new battery and my guages went back to normal.

I just installed a new battery this year.

The hand warmers are on all the time even though the gage says on full and off totally. I'm not sure if they are as high as they should be because I have no control with the switch.

So next I separated the wire that go from one hand warmer to the other and determined that by adjusting the hand warmer switch, the current was being changed.

Next I jiggled the wires going into the Main Gauge and BOOM it was fixed. When I now used the hand warmer switch, it was showing me it updating in the gauge.

Cheers,
Chris
