I have a Holz rear skid assembly with Iceage rails fitted into my Doo.
Holz makes no suspensions for the Nytro, so i'm thinking into doing a swap and installing the Doo Holz into the Nytro.
Has anyone attempted this, any words of advise? IMO it would be a nice upgrade the Holz suspension are an awsome suspension and light. 38Lbs.
I saw Yamaha offers a light weight skid, looks to me like a COPY of the Holz.

From what a friend of mine told me (He had a Holz under his Turbo Apex) is with the power the skid couldnt keep the front end down enough while climbing. He added the transfer shock to prevent wheelies and it just couldnt keep it down.. I would look into a Timber, EZ or M-10/CR racing skid.

Rumor is BDX made the lightweight yamaha skid and and rumor is they also made the cat skid. With that being said it does look like the AC Float one and the Yamaha Lightweight one.

Kinda what i thought, just needed to confirm. The Holz does transfer weight extremely well and like your friend experienced, probably too well in a boosted application. Best used in a non boosted sled...like my Doo.
Thx for the insight.
Guess i'll scrap that idea.

Ya he figured that style skid (also the current RMK skids) are good at keeping the lift in check to about 175hp.. He tried it again in his IQR tripple mod with the same results, to much lift..

Would be a great boondockin skid tho!
