my 2006 apex er has a loose tunnel protector(at the rear),anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it

over time all the rivets seem to loosen up,they did on mine so i just drilled them out and put in new rivets,my rx1 did the same thing too, while you have the seat off gutting your exhaust, replace the rivets then, kill 2 birds with one stone

same here one side came loose on a rough landing Flat landing = bad things lol

i have the seat off,how much of the exsaust do i need to remove,is that the muffler i am looking at under the seat

loose tunnel protector

you can also drill out the bottom of the tunnel protector tube and pop rivet it from the bottom

i was thinking that may be the way to go,any issues and how long have they been like that

the only thing holding my tunnel protectors in was the welds at the front.. the rivets actually broke the holes in the frame open larger

Stainless washers adbolts sound like a good option, going to check mine and if theyre loose, then thats what im going to do.

Having a tunnel protector come off would really suck....
