I like my 2009 xtx Nytro, but I am sick of the tippy inner ski lift even with tuner skis. I do mostly trail riding with some real twist and bumpy stuff. It darts sometimes on thick snow at higher speeds also. I weighmonly 160 and thy Nytro takes lotsmof steering effort and after 6 hours I am beat.
I sat on a left over 2012 vector long track and I was suprized how upright the seating position felt. It seemed like the transition from sitting to standing was not bad like on my old 2005 vector ( that is super tippy). I mostly sit but like to be able to stand some times over big ruts.
I am wondering if those of you with EPs vectors can comment on high speed trail confidence and dartiness
I am also wondering how the new vectors are riding aggressively in tight trails? Do they corner flat? Can you slide the rear end around if you want?
I am considering a long track vector.
Thanks

Dude look at all the recent posts that contain the key words... EPS or power steering... Lots of information, opinions and it really come down to how you set up the sled... Here's what I posted in another thread
Mileage Quest said:I'm a high mileage rider... Steering and darting come from sled set up and can be "tuned" to the operator's liking ... The two places I notice my EPS is in the effort needed to turn sharp at low speeds... And here is the BIG 1... After I ride 300+ mile in one day I can wake up the next morning like I didn't even put a mile on the day before!!! No fatigue in the upper back!!!

A good friend of mine has a 2013 Vector LTX...great sled! I don't know what Yamaha did, but the mono in this sled rides and handles so much better than my 2008 LTX did when it was stock. I'm sure it's the shock calibration that's different. The seat is plush and EPS is a major plus! The sled is very stable at speed and will not wear you out.
The stock ski and carbide may be a little under-aggressive out of the box, but different carbide's or Tuner ski's would cure that. My buddy raised his handlebars 2" over stock and added Dupont slides. Other than that, the sled is stock.

I believe the rear mono/suspension has been updated from prior models?
Is it now not called CK-2 or 3 where our's, I believe is the original CK-1?
An EPS equipped LTX Vector is currently very high on my priority list as my next sled.
I have been looking at Kijiji but haven't seen one new non-current one available anywhere

I just rode my 09 Nytro XTX for 3 days out of St. Ignace. It was a blast to ride, but was definitely a workout. On the 4th day, I rode my '12 Vector. It was fast and comparatively effortless. The Vector is warmer. You can ride it for days and not be sore I the arms or shoulders. It handles the bumps surprisingly well.Yamaha has hit a home
run with this machine. Everyone who rides it loves it.

I did not know this. There is a definite difference for sure. The Vector LTX really is a great sled!

CK is the older 2 shock skid, like a pro action. Latest iteration of the Monoshock is Monoshock 2. Very nice riding suspension. I was actually looking for a 12 or 13 when I found a great deal on an 09 Venture GT, WITH power steering. I'll likely replace my 11 Apex XTX with a new Vector LTX GT when the time comes to retire it. Add a set of Curves with their ski alignment procedures and Bergstrom 8" Triplepoints and I'll have a sweet riding and handling sled that does 90% of what the Apex does, while burning 87 octane fuel and getting 16-18 mpg.
