How tall of handle bar riser w/o longer cables??

How tall of riser can I put on my nytro xtx with the stock cables?

I have a 2" riser on mine but, I didn't install it. It does have extenders on the cables. Were they absolutly needed I don't know but, were installed by a dealer.
