Well seeing as I have some down time for a few days, I decided to mess with the 06 bars on my Warrior. I had them hooked in the same way as stock. This being positive into right grip, negitive out to left grip, and then the last wire into the ground on the machine. they got warm when ridding, but nothing like the stock 05 brs. So I just rewired them so that the positive from the sled goes to one of the wires on both grips, and the negative on the sled goes to both grips. At an idel with the warmers on HI you can not hold the grips with bare hands. These things are freaking hotter than the stockers. This just proves to me it isn't the grips it is the amount of juice that goes to them. if you have the newer bars on an older sled, this is the answer to cold hands. Maxdlx

I had just the right side hooked up first, and on Hi I think it would have melted the grip. Be careful when you try it. Maxdlx

Can you post some pics of the wiring?
Thanks!

I will post pics as soon as I get some taken. Maxdlx
until then I will try and explain a little better. I took one of the wires for the right hand grip, and plugged it right into one of the wires coming up the steering stem. I then pluged the other wire from that same grip and plugged it into the other wire coming up the steering stem. I did this using the stock plugs off of the old bars. That grip got insanely hot plugged in by itself. I then took the wires from the other grip, and tied them one each into one of the wires on the other grip. On one bar they are as hot as on hi before. I used the stock plugs off of the stock bars. luckily I had 2 sets of old bars to rob plugs off of. I did this so I could go back to the old wireing way without snipping anymore wires. If you want give me a call 563-210-6788, and I can try and explain it to you better. Paul

changing it from series to parrallel will change the voltage being supplied, if they are getting that hot i would install some resistors to bring down the voltage to a safer level.

when the grips are wired stock in series to each other the amperage will remain constant. the voltage is changed by a resister in your temp. control. Wiring in paralle?? (hot & ground to each) the voltage will remain the same BUT your aperage will change higher/lower, in addition the more resistance you add (lowering/raising grip temp.) the higher amperage there will be. This will overload the 22 gage wire & lead to heating of wires maybe overloading stator, blow fuses or even fire.
Also to help you check. Volts divided by amps = resistance, Volts divided by resistance = Amps, Amps X Resistance = voltage,
