Hey folks, I could use a opinion. Currently I have a 2001 SXR converted to 136 with a Hartman extension. A 2007 RS Vector SE Mountain with under 500 miles and under 4200.00 fell into my lap and I am trying to judge the deal. I am not sure how a 151 will handle with my area of riding. Michigan UP eastern and western. I have riden 146's and not had an issue. Just looking for some solid opinions.
Thanks
Thanks

I don't know your riding area but a 151 sounds excessive to me for trail riding.
Also, the 07 is not in the Delta 2 chassis, that didn't happen with the Vector until 08.
About all I can add.

It honestly boils down to what type of riding you do the most, trail or off trail? A 151 will work on trail. It may tend push a little more in the corners, but it will bridge the chop without question.
The rear idler wheels on a 151 are only 7.5" further back than a 136, so length is not a huge deal. The only thing I'm not certain about is the 2" lug height. If you're a trail rider, hyfax wear might be an issue. My 2008 Vector was actually an LTX 136, but I converted it to a 151. It's good on and off trail, but I run a 1.25" lug track on it. Is it as nimble and quick as a 121? No, but it will usually keep up with the pack.
The biggest down side I can see, is that the sled is already 6 model years old. Is it running? It has more time against it than anything. The sled might look good, but sitting is hard on them. Why does it have so few miles and how was it stored for such a long time? It will probably need a new battery, so add another $100.00 to the bill.
If you do buy it, make sure it's jetted, clutched, and geared for flatland. You may want to get the shocks recalibrated for trail too. And change the oil and filter too!
Hope this helps!
