I was changing my clutching from my stock spec's for mountain riding back to my prairie settings and I noticed that my belt has been slapping against my clutch cover. The belt still looks good yet, but the cover looks like someone did a burnout on it. As far as running is concerned it hasn't missed a beat and is revving correctly.

For my prairie riding setup on my 06 apex mountain I have DPYR-62's with 2 solid steel rivets and I am running a red spring on my primary the secondary is stock with a little tighter spring from Dalton as well. That spring is all black and looks very similar to the original and is set at 6 and 2.

any input is appreciated!!!

Thanks, Clint

Clint right? I see your from Vermilion, is that Fort Vermilion or just Vermilion? if it's Fort Vermiliom then we'er 1/2 hour apart.

on my RX-1Mtn the belt gaurd looks the same way. Everything is set good with my clutch tool. Not sure why the belt deflects enough to hit the gaurd.
How did the sled run in Revy? Did you find any more prefilter material? I'm looking for some to help with the fine, dry Alberta snow. Nose area is always packed full and then my ECP's get plugged.

To answer the first question I am from regular Vermilion a half hour out of Lloydminster, to answer the second question the sled ran much better after I pulled out the foam from my airbox and I am just installing the prefilter today over my hood screens, plus if you want to keep snow out of the nose of your sled get some good quality weatherstrip (Fairly thick stuff) and seal up the nose of your sled between the bellypan and hood by sticking the foam tape to the underside of your hood back to about even with your clutches on each side as well as a strip across the bottom of the hook on the underside of your hood to keep the front of the hood down this will give you a tighter seal between your belly pan and hood SRXSPEC gave me that gem of info and it worked great. plus it keeps you from having a 10 lb brick of ice in the nose of your sled after a day in the powder!! Also for prefilter material I bought the fancy SLP stuff it cost close to 50 bucks Canadian for an 18" by 18" sqare piece I have put it over my hood screens and am about to put it over the screen in my air box to keep the finer snow out. I bought some flow rites to mount on the lid of my airbox under the hood for more airflow but haven't had the nerve to cut up my lid on the airbox yet!!

Thanks Clint ;)!

Hey Joey1, what weights did you use to go to the mountains, my dealer give me 4.5g for outer and middle and 2.5g inner for an 06 Attak, he stated that this was for high alttitude, but than my brother was told to use 2.5g on the inner run the others empty 04 Warrior.
I wonder is there that much difference between set-ups? well I would like to get a half decent set-up so any Help would be good ;)!

I use my stock weights and primary spring which is a yellow pink yellow marks on it my weights have the steel rivets that have a small hole in the center and are placed in the center and outer holes the inner hole is empty. I hope this helps

Clint
