Anyone have issues on their Apexs with their Idler Wheel bearings failing early.

I have 2100 miles on my 2007 Apex and have to replace 2 of the skidframe idler wheels. The really bad news is these are $61.00 wheels.

Anyone have a cheaper alternative? The bearing isn't removable, 6005 bearing?

I ordered what I thought were correct wheels from Dennis kirk but the bearing is a little long. They may work but they look like they fit the older Yamahas and not Apexs?

Ideas???? $61.00 for a wheel?

I just bought 6 new spoked yamy idler wheels with replacable bearings, 2 new spoked rear wheels with replaceable bearings and a 4th wheel kit from Port Yamaha (site sponsor) for $216+shipping (I'm in Canada). No point replacing with a non-replacable bearing wheel again. Here is my order notification with pricing.

Did these Wheels fit on the current bearing holder ok? The one I ordered from Dennis Kirk was $21.00 also but the bearing is deeper than the stock bearing.

I am worried about it coming off or breaking the cir-clip?

The part is $67.70 at the Port Yamaha dealer. Sorry but the part is just high from Yamaha. Nothing to do with the dealer. Not sure why???

They fit perfectly. Direct replacement.

This is the first year i hat trouble with mine and they were all hooped. i got jobber ones with replaceable bearings for 26$ here in can. think yam wanted close to 80$. the ones i got were actually 5mm larger, so i think that will help with the excessive slider wear a little bit. i've done some reaserach and some guys have found polaris and scooby doo ones that'll fit too.

Yup those are the same spoked wheels yamaha has listed on there website this year for $22.95 a piece, but i was already doing buisness with port yamaha so i got 6 for my 07 apex gt for 19 bucks a piece, and i now have 300 hard miles on them and they are great, and have replacable bearings.
