is there a difference between nytro and apex bars

my dealer has the nytro updated handlebars but not the apex bars and he doesnt know when he will have the apex updated ones , looking to get the updated bars / handwarmers for my 06 rtx
they look the same but one was on the sled and the other wasnt on the sled so it was hard to tell , any info would be great

My dealer also has the Nytro bars but not the Apex bars. They are different (so he says). He only got 3 Apex bars but has a request for 30 something.

Apparently, the Nytro bars are wider from what I'm told.

I have had no problems with my handle bars on my 06 nytro. I think it depends on what type of gloves you are wearing. I wear leather farm gloves.

I believe the Nytro bars are flatter (the rise is smaller) and possibly slightly wider.

nytro/apex handle bars

I have a 06 rtx , hated the fact i had to bend my factory acc. hand guards to fit . They looked bad being bent and twisted,and didn't like the height.So i put an apex mountain riser, matching bolts,06 nytro bars and all the parts are gen.yam!!!! The riser height increase was 3 inches but the nytro bars are 1 inch shorter do the math it worked great for me .
I got my updated bars today and found what people are saying, that there not the 07 bar!!!! exact same to the tee as the 06 which dont work for me . The two main diff. between the bars is that the nytro bar is one inch shorter and when the bar leaves the clamp area it starts to bend up quickly,giving you more room to mount the guards.The apex 06 bar starts its bend about one inch or so out. I'm going to call my dealer on monday to see if i can get the 07 nytro bar . the update kits have diff. part#'s because the wire harnesses are different!!!! [/b]

the nytro update bars can be used,but will be LOWER if added to 06 apex....i ordered a 07 riser block from an rtx...that along with nytro updated bars will give exact same setup as the ALL NEW 07 rtx.

yammy wanted to only make one set of bars...so now the 07 nytro and 07 apex all have same bars..just different riser heights.

I didnt want to wait anymore!....dont think they made enough apex bars!...

most dealers have nytro updates instock...so by adding these along with a 07 riser block for apex...my 06 apex will be exact same as an 07 apex setup.

Do you know if the 07 rtx riser is taller than the 06 rtx riser,i would like at least 1" more rise but will do 2" rise if i have enough cable.
