Did I do this correctly? Here is a pic of the tool and gap before I tighten the lock nut. Also attached is a pic from the manual. If I'm reading it correctly on where to measure the gap....I'm assuming I'm at the minimum adjustment setting? The reason I ask is... I was setting this sled up according to "Catmans" specs that have been posted frequently on the forum. He mentions setting the gap on the transfer rod to 1 1/8". I can't get it to that small of a gap without going below the minimum on the tool...if I'm using it correctly. It's close and within a few threads on the adjuster or about a quarter inch I guess but I know those specs were on an older sled than mine. The third pic is from Catmans specs pointing at the gap and shows only a few threads left showing. Just wondering If I'm using the tool correctly or can I turn it in a bit more to get to a little less gap. Thanks in advance.

could be the gap in catmans photo is measured to the inside edge of the lock washer after tighten , which would be different than it is in the diagram.

Pic two is correct and at min transfer, measure to the body not the lock nut, gap no 5 in first pic.

By the way, going less then min won't damage anything, going beyond the max will likely end in the unit pulling apart, and being destroyed, then the track, and whatever else gets hit. After you adjust it, make sure to check it frequently for the first trip, then just check it whenever you stop for lunch or fuel.
