I did a search and found that someone did ask this question but i did not see the answer I was looking for. Can we jump our "dead"sled with another Apex or even another brand with electric start? Or does it have to be a "booster" battery, such as on the ground not installed in a machine. Thanks

i would think it was ok to jump it from another sled as long as the other sled is not running so as to not fry the stator.

When jump starting a motorcycle or your sled you can use a car, truck or anything with a twelve volt battery........just leave the car or truck shut off as there is enough battery capacity there to take care of the sled or motorcycle.

I even have a set of Yamaha Sled Jumper cables that I keep with me just for this purpose. I just have the "Live" sled running while I jump it. Ran into dead battery problems on a trip way north where it was really cold over night. The battery was a few years old and just wasn't strong enough. This isnt a regular issue for me, just that one time.
