Free maps are not worth ~ well there free. Step up and purchase the maps as they are way better then free verisions. You could have got a Tom Tom and saved some money lol. I wont use the free verisons so maybe somebody else can help.

Hi which map is better the ofsc ontario map for 79.95 or the redpine maps for 84.95?
Or are they both the same?
Anyone else rocking a zumo 660 if so how has it been in use? Is the unit billed as advertised and the map locations work well?

Well after some digging around I came across the link Grimm posted and downloaded the trail map from Ontario Conditions.
Got to test the unit out yesterday and very happy with the results. The weather was -25 and the unit preformed flawless. The touch screen works great even with gloves.
The unit worked great and it is really nice to have a dialed GPS when on the trails. Anyone thinking about buying a zumo 660 for sledding will be happy.
Bottlerock you said I could have saved money and bought a tom tom LOL, well I Guess I could have bought a artic crap or ski doo over my yamaha and saved a bunch of money, whats your point?
I am pretty happy with the purchase ( and those so called free maps you say are junk) well they worked amazing for me. Thanks to Rev from Ontario Conditions for making the maps. Saved me 85 bucks

I used the free version of the MI maps from redpine and they worked great in the areas we road last weekend.
Glad you got yours working great too!

I've got a Garmin Zumo 660 and downloaded the Red Pine map the other day.
To be honest, I am not impressed at all. Not with the unit and not with the map.
The map doesn't follow the trails in my neck of the woods. They say that the map is routable, meaning your GPS can give you turn by turn directions, but my unit doesn't. It might be a setting but I have tried motorcycle mode, off-road and others and it just won't 'stick' to the trail. Tips are welcome...

There is a guy on Ontarioconditions that has a free Ontario trail map that I use. It was way better than the other free one. It is non routable though and not as complete I'm sure.
Redpine just turns the trail the magenta color that you need to follow to your destination. I dont think you can here it "saying turn left ahead". Mine works most of the time by the shortest route. Once it wanted to take me the long way around but I kinda have an idea were I plan on going.
