Well i just got back last night from my week long ride up in the eastern side of the U.P....

First two days kinda sucked as it was 50degrees and snow was at a minimal.. But after that they got 2-4 inches and the groomers really brought the trails back to life...

Rode a total of 800+ miles...

THese are the sleds i rode with... 03 F7, 04 F6, another 04 F6 andFour 02 zr600s and one 03 zr800, 98 skidoo MXZ 583, 99 ZR 440, 96 ZRT600, 2-02 Polaris XC edges, 00 ZL 500, (YA, IT WAS A BIG GROUP)

The cats in our group a few problems... on first day the 02 zr600 blew the engine... two days later the 03zr800 ate its snowflap and broke the pull cord.... the next day the same 03 zr lost its use of the thumb heater and on the last day the same 03 zr lost half of its track clips rendering it useless as the track was smoking!... I used one belt and two polarises both used one belt each!

My sled was the QUICKEST sled of the group by no doubt.... But the F7 could pull me slightly if we started racing from 90+mph.. HIGHTEST speed i seen all week was 120 on the dreammeter...(HELD IT FOR A LONG TIME)

Here is the good part.... My buddy who rides the ZR800 rode my sled for the last 3 hours of one day and the WHOLE last day of the trip because his sled was broke down and my back hurt bad from riding the 98 skidoo with crapy suspension.. OUCH!! (we did alot of sled swapping)

Anyways he couldnt say enough good things about my sled.. HE LOVED IT... Once he got usto it, he got it to handle better than me and even passed one of our friends on a Edge X polaris in a corner and left him in the dust! (the edge X owner thought my sled had Nitros because of how hard he pulled him on the strait streatch)

My buddy ABSOLUTELY LOVED my sled... EXCEPT... the weight... he said he tried to ditch bang it and thats when he noticed how heavy it really is.. (THIS GUY IS THE HARDEST RIDER IVE EVER RODE WITH) HIS exact words were.... YOUR SLED RIDES AND HANDLES GREAT... NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS MY ZR BUT CLOSE... ITS ONLY ON THE BIG MOGALS WHERE THE SLED LACTS!!

My sled got AWSOME gas milage compared to the two strokers... They would put in 20-25 dollars of gas and my sled would only take $10.. LOL They got sick of me bragging about the gas milage i got...

THe day we left we ended up test riding some new 05 revs.... Ill leave that for another post..

Thats why I call them Arti-craps althought the f-7 haul #*$&@ and do handle good, take bumps well, it just seems like they have TOO many break downs...allways something! Yamaha has always been the most dependable sled I have ever owned. :yam: :4STroke: :flag:

None of the F sleds broke down ... only the older ZR sleds with close to 7000miles on them..
