kill switch button

I flew over my handle bars and broke my red kill switch on 08 apex the dealer says you have to buy the entire handle bar assembly.
I have a hard time believing this. Anyone know a part number for just the red plastis button ???

i just looked on part smart for the apex ltx gt 40th as in your signature and you have to buy the whole right hand thumb throttle assembly

part # 8FP-82720-01-00

msrp is $170

I have hear of guys that called yamaha canada and got one from them. does anyone know the number and extension?

Dealers here in the states have a separate book with parts they can get through the regional service reps. The red kill switch button is one of them. Not sure if the dealers in Canada have the same option.

If that does not work, then you may want to consider trying a search on "kill switch" and then starting on Page 4. I just took the first one from the same search. There are many to sort through. But, I think there was at least one other thread last year on the topic.
