I bought some LED lights from Headlight Experts for my viper. Put them in according to there directions as far as dual beam setup. To say the least i wasn't impressed with projections of the light beam. So i did some adjusting on the bulbs. I ended up turning them so led strip high beam side is facing in . Wow what a difference. Can actually see now. Any of you other guys done the same??

I installed a pair of high intensity LED lamps in my Viper. Brighter light than factory, but when I turned on the brights I seemed to illuminate the trees and not the trail. Was considering to try and adjust the lights using the adjustment screw provided by Yamaha. Once I get my sled back I can look into the mounting of the LED lamps, as I didn’t think there was an alternate way to mount them.

I've not seem LED's that have proper emitter orientation to use the reflectors properly. They also don't tend to throw distance well. For this reason among others I prefer HID. While HID are not perfect either they are much better and in most cases no need for high beams.

Fully adjustable. I have PIAA in my 14 viper, also have HID in my 11 Apex. The LEDs are a much better option in all categories hands down. Everyone will have there own opinion. I will never put HIDs in as an upgrade again. The only reason the HIDs are in the 11 Apex is because the LED technology at the time of install had not caught up with HIDs.

The biggest knock on LEDs if I had find one is that the market is flooded with low priced, low quality replacements. Unless you really know how to filter out what your looking for you could end up with a product that is a waste of money.

Disclaimer;
Only my opinion, good luck.

Joe i had same issue. High beam was in the trees. Try rotating the bulb. High beam on the inside

interesting I have the stock bulbs and my high beams are in the trees they are awful, low beam fine

All, so basically this is an accessible knob which allows the rider to adjust your headlights lights without the use of tools? Is it easy to install onto the adjustment screw?

Yes, and yes. It can be installed in several locations on the dash, I have mine coming out the side ala Mr Sled.
Here are some images if it on my Viper but same idea on the SW:

Cannondale27 also has a great mount option here:

I made my own adjuster using a piece of 1/4 in aluminum rod a small socket to go on adjuster with a wobble joint or whatever there called. Threaded other end of rod to accept a knob. Works awesome.
