If I were looking to purchase that trailer based on age alone I would replace the entire axle/wheel assy. Its due ,Dexter now has galvanized axlesLOoking at a snowpro clamshell 10 footer
It looks pretty good shape overall
We live in rust belt the dexter torsion axel is quite rusty could it be sanded and painted or avoid?

probably be fine for a year or 2 if it does not have big pits or flakes. watch where they bolt to the frame as there can be issues there. seen ones without rust fail from overloading.
