LOOKING FOR SMALL BLACK WINDSHIELD

thinking of buying an 07 attack with the blue lightning. would like to put a black windshield on it. i like the 06 rtx style with the short red one. does anyone make anything close to that in after market.

Look at my avatar, Is that what you're after. I bought a clear 06 shorty, and painted it. Use the right paint if you do so, I've been painting my shields for years and all hold up great.

Oh yeah, you only paint the inside of the clear windy, not the outside. there also are aftermarket ones ( i have one) but it is a little different in design and I really don't care for it.

What paint do you use? I was think about painting a blue windshield red, but didn't hitnk that it would hold up from the wind vibration.

You can only paint a clear shield, you paint the inside and it works great. Here is two painted shortys. Eric

I have been thinking of doing that. Where do you get the shield trim and what kind of paint do you use?

Here is my clear shorty painted, ( used krylon plastic spray paint, then a couple of coats of a black flexible spray epoxy. Done up all of my windy's this way with no problems

Go to a Hobby shop that deals with R/C cars and get some Pactra lexan paint.
Doesn't flake as easily as standard spray paint, sticks better, too.
Just make sure you wash the windshield with some dish soap first.
