I'm looking for someone to ride with. I live in Auburn NY and will be riding those trails mostly towards Moravia and Cato. I'm a new sledder and don't know the trails yet but know they are there. I'll be riding with my cousin sometimes but looking for other local riders. Leave a message or if you know someone that's not a member of this site but ride my way let me know. Thanks in advance

I live in central New York...actually AUBURN NY!!! haha. How old are you? lol I'm 19 and ride an APEX RTX. I ride with a couple Doos and Cats.
My buddies and I rode to 34 club last night...and we're going to Bear Swamp today at 3:00. The trails are sick. I hope we don't get that rain Sunday!

I'm 26 yrs old. Last name is Adams. Not sure if you know any of my younger brothers. Ken and Andy. My parents live on the corner of clymer and Dunning right next to that long trail and I leave from there but I don't know where they go just yet. I haven't been on them yet. I did go latsnight around 6 but by myself and had no idea so I didn't go very far.

So you took that Fleming/Cato trail that takes you to Sunoco? The old rail road trail with 3 bridges?
Yea we were out from 4-9 last night. We were on that trail just to see where it went and we ended up at a road. So we turned around and headed back towards the gas station (Sunoco) and ripped to Hill Top in Skan.
I live on Town Hall rd. Almost to Skaneateles. We rode from there towards Moravia yesterday.
BTW...I'm John Tracy

That Sunoco Gas Station is on Sand Beach Road. (34) When you come through the trail from your house you will see that and can take a left or right. The trail will bring you to Moravia if you go right and Skan. if you go left.

so if I'm going all the way towards the Sonoco and get to the road does that lead to another trail? I seen a guy there and when I got up there had no idea where he went.
ALso if I turn left and right before that on those trails for Skan or Mravia are they periodocially groomed and are they marked? just wondering.
Is this trail C5A on last years map?

Those turns are before the Sonoco right?
If I can remember right I seen 2 sections with left or right turns. I guess if the snow isn't melted by saturfay I'll explore durring the daylight. I work in Liverpool and by the time I get home during the week its dark and since I haven't been on the trails, I have no idea where I'm at.
The trails around our area really don't get groomed untill you get out towrds moravia, skaneteles, or aurelius going towards Port Byron, when they actually do get groomed they are very nice. The ride down to Bear Swamp is nice, and its aslo a nice ride towards Elbridge and Cato. Drop me a PM with your number and I will give you a call next time we head out.

To get on the trail, you need to take that Cato trail ALL THE WAY TO THE SUNOCO STATION. Then if you want to go to King Ferry/ Moravia you will go right behind the gas station and head out past that and the trails are marked! If you want to take a left, your going towards skaneateles. That trail heads down Sand Beach road, past the traffic circle, and then to the Mobile EXpress station. After that you will see tracks and just follow those.
But like I was saying, you must go all the way down that one trail, and CROSS Sand Beach road, then either take a right/straight and go behind sunoco, or take a left up sand beach road.
I ride with jcase101 once in awhile.

I've been to lake como. I'm new to snowmobile riding though. I've always wanted a sled but couldn't afford one and then went to college. Last year I rode with my girlfriends family on their extra sled till I bought mine at the end of last year. They all ride the Cortland area and we go to lake como and Colonial Lodge. I knew we had the trails around here in Auburn. I didn't realize how close I am to them. Thanks guys. I'll send you guys my info on pm.

From auburn you have all the trails you need at your hands! Go on this site and you can look at and printout maps of any county you like. You can ride to Tug Hill from Auburn if you like...lol. We get down that way on occasion but ride out of Red Creek area most of the time.
