Hello all, I'm looking at getting back into sledding. I'm thinking Phazer RTX or a base Nytro. I have a few questions, how narrow is the seat on the phazer? I've never seen one but I'm going to look at the Phazer and the Nytro this weekend. Also how do the phazers handle bigger riders? I'm a good 250 with all my gear on, I'm kinda worried I'll kill it.... I think the Phazer will be fine power wise for me but was thinking the Nytro would work better given my weight. On last thing, I'm from a Cat family any tips on dealing with family members who think I've lost my mind?

im 6'2 200lbs and my phazer RTX handles me pretty good only 200mi so far but im pretty happy with it

Thanks for the reply phazerdrew. I was starting to wonder if anyone was ever going to reply! I never made it to the dealer, I'm going Tuesday. My family is pushing hard for me to get a Z1 or Z1 turbo Cat. I never have liked the looks of the twin spar sleds, kinda like the love child of a chicken and a lizard.

forgot to add on the seat.. its narrower than a ZR chassis cat seat but fatter than a dirt bike seat, pretty much like a 4x4 quad seat... just did another 100 today... sled is awesome

At 250, go Nitro. I have a Phazer and I weight 195. I wish it had about 100 HP. At 100, it would be a blast. I have a Polaris XC 500 and it pulls right away from the Phazer. We took the two out on the lake today and I could only get the Phazer going about 68 with the heavy snow. The XC was up to 75 when I let off the gas.

I'm going to pass the Phazer onto the wife next Fall and pick up a Nitro. I read a rumor saying that Yamaha is coming out with a 110 HP Phazer. I would jump all over that!
