I was riding yesterday and realized my speedometer was just reading zero? It's a 2014 xf7000 cross country sno pro with 7300 miles. Shes been running like a top and still is...any suggestions? I looked for anything obvious on the trail but haven't had time to really dig into it yet. A quick search online only show possible magnet issue which I'm baffled how that could happen without messing with the chaincase. Maybe a bad sensor?

Metal shavings on magnets in chain case or the sensor unglued from the chain case, perhaps a broken wire.

See if the sensor fell off the chaincase.
Lol..I was just coming in to mention it's an easy fix! It came off the exterior chaincase...now I just have to warm it up and epoxy it back on...anything recommended as far as epoxy or glue?

I just used rtv silicone

I just used that as well...unfortunately I'm outside so I used a heat gun, warmed it up, cleaned it, warmed it again and lathered it up...hopefully it sticks well...either way...easy fix! thank you all for the heads up! I didn't get 1 response over at arctic chat.

Part of the reason why I ride Yamaha, mostly good people who want to help, not stupid remarks like fb , glad you found us
