One word. This sled is ssaaweeett.
Rode 190 miles Saturday.
When I first got the sled back in November I put 10 miles on a jack stand. Get some heat cycles in the engine, check for leaks, loose bolts, etc. No major issues seen. Rear axles bolts were sort of loose. Maybe from dealer prep.
Anyhow.
The sled rides great. I can't believe how lite and easy the steering feels. The sled feels so lite and is so easy to toss around compared to my Nytro and Attak I had. For my weight(215 #s) the suspension seems spot on. It has a nice firm feel but not jarry. No impacts through the handle bars. The chassis feels very rigid.
Running hard through the twisty's the sled corners pretty flat. There is some push in the corners. But I am running stock carbides.
The front end seems busy at times under certain snow conditions and at lower speeds. But with the steering being so lite it is easy manageable. I'll check the toe. Maybe a bit more toe out should help. I have dual carbides coming so that should cure the business.
The suspension takes the bumps great. The sled is flat though, no ski lift. Even jumping some moguls the front end doesn't want to lift much.
The heated seat is so cool. Took off Saturday morning. seat was cold. Put the warmer on low. Took the chill out nice.
Power seems good. It pulls hard from a dead dig up to about 80. On a 60-70 mph role the power seems flat.
Only 200 miles on the sled now. Hopefully with more miles the sled will loosen up more.
I have a Hauck clutch kit I'll put on after I get more miles on it. See how that works.
And a thought. I wonder if a Team roller will bolt on. The sled feels like it needs more back shift.
Love the vent in front of the handle bar. Put my gloves there when we stop. Gloves are nice and warm when we leave.
The ergonomics of the sled feel great. The windshield does a good job of keeping the wind off you. The seat feels good.
The shape makes it easy to lean side to side when running hard, and east to stand. However the seat is a bit sticky. It seems to grab my bibs more then I am used too. You need to lift up some when shifting side to side.
Checked the belt and clutches. All look good.
Overall very pleased with the sled.
