MCX exhaust caps ?

Anyone else had a problem with melting the caps ? I have melted it off both attempts now only 10 mins from the truck. First time i had the short caps and the second time is the long Mtn caps. only running at partial throttle riding up the trail and the bolts just melt right through and the cap falls off. I just run without it and no problems, would just be nice to have the finished look. Minor problem but would like to fix it.

Anyone else had one melt? Is anyone running the cap with no problem? If you guys are running them without melting i would like to know also, as maybe I am too lean?

Mine are still ok ,you may be running lean .

Garry at Prince George said they where sending out a notice to remove them because they are melting. He said some guys are spaceing them out with washers so air can get in from the edge to cool. I wrapped the tip of my pipe with header wrap and lined the inside of the cap with reflective tap and they where still melting because of the heat transfer from the bolts. So i took it off again.

Mine is dicolored and cracking as well. My cousins got so hot it fell off coming up the trail

Thats what all that melted goop on my tunnel is. LOL

Yup, went thru 2 caps within 15 mins of riding both times.
