Hello, I was thinking about giving my nytro a little more power since yamaha didnt. I was thinking of cutting open my air box, gutting my exhaust and putting my drag n' fly clutch kit in. I was wondering if anybody else has done this, and how it worked out. I was also thinking of gearing down, and was wondering what would help me pull better catwalks... but thats the least of my worries. If there's any problems like re-jetting let me know.
Thanks, Jake

With more air flow your going to need to rejet. The 06/07 nytro's were geared low already. To pull the ski up you need more transfer in the skid.
I would put on K&N's over cutting the air box.

No gain in cutting the airbox on a carbed three holer. Ulmer tried many things and all made less power on the dyno. Get youself some holtzman carb springs, cr10ek plugs, really good clutching and lots of traction. Take it a step further and get yourself an excel header, good for about eight peak h.p. but loose a bit of low end tq.
These are the best upgrades for a carbed three hole beast.
