hello there .. i have the sled apart and looking to get more sound out of the exhaust.. has anyone cut there muffler apart and taken or drilled holes into the tubes in side?? if so what have u done and are u happy with the sound that it has made after your done?? thanks for the help.. u can email me at ballszz@yahoo.ca..thanks for the help.

I just bought an 06 that the previous owner drilled the baffles out. I don't know how much he took out but I asked and he said he did not cut them completely out. Only rode it around the yard a couple of times but does have a nice sound to it. Not loud at all just a little more "rumble" If this helps any...

You should search for the thread called - Apex stock muffler gutting - There is a sticky thread around somewhere in there that shows the entire process. I did it to mine and I definatly like it! Sounds different than all of my buddies Apexes.
As far as doing the mod it isn't too hard other than taking all the plastic and stuff off to get to the exhaust. Make sure you have a good welder (person and welder) to patch the exhaust back up because it is a duel layer chamber.
