Mono rear skid removal

What is the easiest way to remove the rear skid on the apex gt? I didnt know if it helps to loosen the transfer rod all the way or loosen up the strap, etc. I know on the pro actions it would come right out and re-install easily after the transfer rods had been completely loosened up.

I unbolt the rear for the transfer rod and the limiter straps when putting it back in one person job
