Guys,
I just got my Mtn rear heat exchanger kit tonight. I plan on putting it in my Warrior tomorrow. Is there anything speacil I need to be concerned with? or does it pretty much just bolt right in? What did people use to enlarge the hole where the transfer bar went? DId you need to drain the coolant in the sled? or will raisng the back end eliminate the need to do this?

1) You will need to cut your tunnel protectors. If you plan on running spikes, you will need to add something new over the heat exchanger after.

2) Dremel works well for enlarging the holes.

3) Raise the back end so the crossover bar is ABOVE the reservoir tank, a little will come out, but not enough to worry about.

4) Before you bleed do NOT let it down to the ground, let it down far enough that the reservoir is the highest point on the cooling system, open the vent, and pour in your 60/40 mix of GREEN. You may need to add pressure to the reservoir to get it to flow in a hurry, or figure some way to suck it out the vent. Gravity works, but is not fast enough for the impatient.

I did the install tonight, went smooth. I now need to bleed the system and add some type of protectors to the new exchanger. Does anybody make protectors for the rear heat exchanger? Is there another way to ensure my studds wont hit this?
