Ok, what do you guys and gals feel is the best fit for a stock 153" MTX? I have to ride on some hard pack now and then as well, so I'm not looking for pure POW Performance as a whole.....Thanks. ( I did a search, but thought that getting all the info under one thread would be helpful to many)

I posted this over on Snowest

Been looking at the different track weights. Gotta believe less weight is going to produce better track speed.

153x15 Maverick 48 lbs
153x15x 2.25 Challenger 50 lbs
154x16x2.31 Powdermax 58 lbs (Needs driver change to 2.86)
156x15x2.5 Camo Extreme 57 lbs
156x16x2.5 Camo Extreme 60 lbs

also, you have the arctic cat powder claw track option in 153" or 162". ski

I have the ArcticCat Track going on my MTX...

So I will have the worlds first Hybrid Stroke!!!! Wonder if that will reduce my Carbon FootPrint? :P

Does anyone know the weight of 153" and 162" powderclaw? What is the lug height?

Thanks,

lug height is 2.25" but having ridden it in 4 feet of pow, it handled pow easily as well as the 2.5" CE track...as far as carving, I think it will perform better...and will more than likely perform better in spring conditions as it has finger tracks in it too...will try and weigh mine, as it is a 162"

here you go...PowerClaw New out of the box...162"

And the stock track (with some dirt on it from last ride...) TracksUSA lists the weight as 48...which there is NO WAY I have 3+ pounds of dirt on it...

Do they count track clips when they give weights? Just thought maybe its like sleds, "Dry Weight" in other words "useless" weight. I could see a pound or two in clips.

well, on tracksUSA is shows that it is fully clipped, so I am guessing that it is weighed with...but then who knows...

BTW, for kicks and grins...here are my drivers, with only 420 miles on them...needless to say this is not what I would consider good...my Doo drivers with 1500 miles on them had less wear...
