MTX venom hood swap.

I couldn’t find to much information on the venom hood swap for the MTX. So thought it would be a good thing to post the details here.

So initial findings.

Belt guard is too wide, I’m going to see if the MM 2 stroke will fit.

Coolant overflow needs to be changed or heated up and massage out of the way.

Rollover valve ( I have the updated one) needs to relocate lower.

Obviously the intercooler needs to be replaced. I see hurricane makes a race intercooler, mxc I think would work or modify a nytro intercooler.

It appears the cr resonator pipe will work.

Front vent screens work as the are the same.

I’m also installing a CR racing tunnel cut extension and bumper, Mcxpress header and stage 2, custom seat and other weight saving mods.

Great info. I considered swapping to this hood myself, and according to a friend it should be interchangable with the ascender hood. You could change the coolant tank to a nytro one I believe, and trim off the old mounting point for the ROV. Original intercooler can be moved up, just add some holes for it.

What seat will you go for, custom built? And what will you do for lights? Any work on the bulkhead?

Seat I was thinking of building one similar to the skinz but taller as it looks too low for me. Either retro fit the ascender non estart seat or modify my MTX seat with this Polaris top.

Good idea on the nytro tank. I looked at that one but wasn’t sure without seeing it in person.

I’m planning on making some kind of headlight delete cover with some kind of led light. Or I’ll just run one off the bars. See when I get closer to that. Nothing done to the bulkhead
