2007 Yamaha Phazer GT
I wanted a hitch to pull a small Pelican sled for ice fishing and for hauling gear to the cottage. I have a Skinz rear bumper with 1.5" tubing.
Here are the parts:
- 2 Yakima Snap Arounds ($2 each) :http://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Yakima/Y8810135.html
I use these to mount my bike rack to my Yakima round roof racks. Very strong - more than what I need.
- gate hinge ($4)
I rounded off the gate hinge and use plastic knobs to attach it to the bumper. Easy to put on/take off.
I also made a tow bar for my Pelican toboggan using some flat aluminum and wood.
Can't wait for the season to start.
