Last fall shortly after HayDays I picked up this 1991 Phazer II ST. We cleaned it up a little bit and raised the seat and handlebars. We also pulled the rear suspension and completely rebuilt it, including powder coating. Also new is a 1" Camoplast energy track. We have a few more plans for the Phazer over this summer.

Thanks guys. Its probably my favorite sled to just sit and admire in the shop. The seat position and overall ergonomics aren't quite where the new stuff is but its pretty darn close and its sooo much better than stock. For my son who's 11 the whole package fits him like a glove. This summer I want to tighten up the loose steering and make up some brackets to stiffen up the running boards. I forgot how quick these old phazers will launch out of the hole. -IF- I should get lucky and find a good deal on a 136" mono-shock this summer we might consider a suspension swap too.

And Superman was saying a chance for another storm up there. I may just have to squeak in a couple days if that happens.

Thats Cool as hell! taking the family out riding!!!! Sled looks awesome in person!

I see they're talking about next monday and tuesday getting some precipitation but its too early to tell what its going to be. Some up here are saying it looks like it'll be snow. At the moment its still disapearing but very slowly because our overnight temps have been very cold.

It was awesome to hear the kids say it was probably the best weekend ever. They got to ride all day saturday and sunday. In the first batch of pictures above I made a quick snowcross track between the shops complete with some jumps with nice take off and landing area's. Then we would ride off to the woods and ride some of the 2-tracks out west of town.

I have had an army of phazers and srvs. I always thought the early shorter phazer was quicker. I always used to replace all the collars and bushings in the pogos, along with tapping and installing grease fitting on every moving part on pogos and rear suspension. makes a night/day difference in ride and handling. I even had one that had some kind of widening kit {bender}? they were awsome bulletproof sleds. still have an srv that blows my mind for the age

I know what you mean gilbert. We're probably going to tear it all down again this summer and do some upgrading most everywhere on the sled. I have a bunch of bushings for the TSS that I haven't installed yet. We greased the heck out of the rear skid but we need to zerk the whole thing too. The sled has about 5,200 miles and the engine is just great and so is the clutching. I would love to find another phazer this summer and do the same things we're doing to this one.

Great sled, same as the one my buddy took me for my first snowmobile ride on. Fell in love with sledding because of the Phazer. Bought a 94 VMax the next season and the rest is history! Wonderful way for the family to play together, thanks for the photos.
