Hi everyone, I'm looking at a used MPI S/C stage I kit for my 2010 Nytro XTX. Anything I should watch out for? Is this a good kit? Reliable? Will I have to do alot of tinkering to get it to run right?(I used to run an RX1 w/Bender turbo and I'm still having tinkering nightmares)
Any advice would be apreciated.

Thanks
Marty

How many pounds would you want to run, and/or which kit? Stage one or two

Once your clutching and fuel is good you pretty much just ride it.

Works well with updated gems ( needle circuit adjustable )
No more than 8 lbs or your injectors can't keep up.
Add Mpi big tunnel coolers , upgraded fuel pump.

Other than that a good ride , gas and go.

If you buy used make sure the kit is complete! I bought a used kit and had to buy about $500 in parts that didn't come with my supposedly complete kit. Other than that I LOVE my kit, it has been very trouble free. MPI puts together a very nice kit. The fit & Finnish is great. But I ride in the mountains and MPI had absolutely no idea how to make my sled run in the mountains. There clutch sutup cost me multiple belts, and they have no idea what pully's I need to make the boost I want. But if you ride trails I think there are enough people on this site to get ya set up and running good. Then it's just gas and go.

Ulmer has the perfect clutch kit for the mpi sc nytro.

My 2010 mpi nytro has gone 6500 k no issues , once the gems was updated !

Ditto on making sure you get all the parts. Take MPI's system pics and go through the kit and check off parts as you go. The kit I bought was missing the PTO shaft....seller stepped up though and paid for new one. The GEMS that came with the kit was hooped as well...intermittant wire connection somewhere. So, $300 for new GEMS plus AF gauge and boost gauge and good to go. I'd plan on having a spare GEMS around incase yours gets wet.

I've just been running 5psi so far which has been great at lower elevations (below 5000ft). Above 5000ft I'm not seeing much boost (1-2psi at most) but I have not bothered to tinker with my clutch much, it rarely goes over 9500rpm. I've just been runnig at 5psi to get used to the system - I'm going 10psi this weekend - I'm hoping I'll see 7psi @ elevation.

Thanks for all your response guys. I think I'm gonna go for it.
Would anyone have a listing of the parts that come with the kit?
That would help in making sure I'm not missing anything.

Marty
