Need Help extending 121" to 136"

Ok, so after reading and hoping for lots of snow this winter, I've decided I would like to extend my '03 RX-1 121" track to 136". I like the idea of 136" because I ride a fair amount of trail but do bust off every now and again. I need help in determining any other crucial components to the success of this mod. I'm set on the Ulmer Racing Tracks USA extension kit that includes the tunnel extension and am looking for a Predator 1.25" track. What else am I missing or should be done when doing this? Am on the right track??? Finally am I crazy thinking I can do this? Thanks

Perfect...now I need a step by step guide. Is there a good bearing and bushing kit out for the skid, since I'll have it off?

I'll vouch for the tunnel extension stretched my 03 last year real nice piece of hardware.

I too have an 03 RX-1. What skid extensions did you use? What track did you put on? How long of a job is this for a novice?...sorry for the barrage of questions. I do like the look of Muffins tunnel extension and may consider the power coating for added durability. If you have any pics of your extension, I'd appreciate seeing them.

I have pretty much all you need too:

An MPI tunnel extension with bumper and modified fairing.
OEM Yamaha 136 Rails
A 136 Inch ice claw track,but it only has the 1" profile - 300 miles.

Just finished the wifes 03 RX1. I used HARTMANS kit and it worked out GREAT. It came complete with instuctions and pictures. TOM has all the answers he's MR YAMAHA. Little advice when you have it tore down put in all new drive axle bearings, chaincase bearings jack shaft bearings. I bought a track at HAYDAYS for under $300.00. TOM has tracks or check out ebay. GOOD LUCK.
