Just got back from the mountains in Wyoming (10,000ft). Sled runs great in the mid range on up, but still have a stumble down low. Don't like the way it works in the tight trees, or jumping off a cornice. I turned the fuel screws in to a 1/4 turn out and helped a little. Still will sputter when standing still and then just pin the throttle.
Here is what I have in it.
03 Mt Rx1 bender II
127.5 mains
15 pilots
neeedle has clip on top with plastic below
fuel screw 1/4 turn out
updated float bowls
Dealer in Laramie said that they are running a 12.5 pilot, but my dealer says that they can't find any.
Any help would be great. Thanks

See if this helps..........
This problem has finally been figured out , The turbo xs controller has a "fine" and a course adjustment .
The manual says turning in the fine adjustment past 2 turns may cause turbo lag .
I found that turning this adjustment in to about 1 & 1/2 turns while causing a little bit of lag also prevents The spike in boost I used to get which was causing my sputtering problem ..................
......the boost before would jump up to 17 p.s.i. and then go down to 12,
now it Rises up to 12 p.s.i. with no spike ....
Just passing along info, as I know of some others that have had this problem .

Where are these adjustments? Mine only has an adjustment for boost level on each stage. This is the one I have:

I am just using the stock switch that bender sent. I have a 700 jet in the charge tube. I am only running around 10 psi of boost. Should I try a different controller, or a different jet in the charge tube?

Drop your needles down one more step.
Turn your fuel to 1 1/2 turns.
I have stock pilots
127.5 mains
fuel 1 1/2 out
300 to 400 pitot on trail 600 to 700 on the Mt
What clutch set up do you have?
You need to talk to Cody from Cheyenne Yamaha used to be "High Altitude Yamaha" he will help you out. He and I worked together to get the sleds working here. The guys at TNT in Laramie know nothing about the Bender, I am the only one with a Bender around here besides Cody in Cheyenne. He bought one after he rode mine. TNT has a CPR Turbo and don't really have a clue about the tuning. They don't run any guages on their sled they just depend on the guy that set it up for them. The guy that set up their sled is good but Cody from Cheyenne has a better relationship with Mark B.
I am not Dising TNT Cody just knows the Bender!
Cody Sr. is the one you want to talk to, if he is not there talk to little Cody. Tell them big Mike from Laramie told you to call. They got to spend alot of time on the Bender set up.

If you have any air leaks at all, that will cause your bottom to be slugish.

You are WAY to lean down low 15 pilots and 1/4 turn? WOW. Try 20 pilots and one turn.
With the 17.5 pilots it was worse than the 15's. you can tell it is rich by the way it starts and takes off. It blubbers and then cleans out in about 50 feet. Have a heel clicker weight setup. It has a lot of weight on the heel. Maybe I should try to lighten that up some.

I just got back from the mountains today , I had to run a larger pitot jet today than ever before, was warmer than usual , and had my carb heat hooked back up and back up to 132.5 jets.........By the time I carved out the center of that 400 jet
with a pointed pocket knife It must have been about a 800 or 900  This is no joke , it went from running like crap to absolutely perfect .......
(Note to self : always have a large selection of pitot jets available )
